👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family and Early Life

Tobi Brown was born into a working-class Nigerian family in Hackney, London. He is one of six siblings, with two brothers, including Emmanuel John Brown (known online as Manny or FIFAManny), and three sisters. Raised in a Christian household, Tobi attended St. Dominic's Catholic Primary School and later Bexley Grammar School, where he met future Sidemen member Josh Bradley (Zerkaa). He pursued higher education at Coventry University, earning an honours degree in computing. 

🎮 YouTube Career

Tobi launched his YouTube channel, TBJZL, in 2011 while still at university. Initially, he uploaded gameplay videos of titles like Call of Duty, Fable II, and Minecraft. Over time, he shifted focus to FIFA, becoming a recognized FIFA gamer. His channel has since expanded to include football challenges, vlogs, and comedy-style videos. As of 2025, TBJZL boasts over 5 million subscribers. 

In addition to his main channel, Tobi runs TBJZLPlays, dedicated to gaming content, and has a presence on Twitch, where he streams gameplay sessions. 

🤝 The Sidemen

On October 19, 2013, Tobi co-founded the British YouTube group known as the Sidemen, alongside Josh Bradley (Zerkaa), Simon Minter (Miniminter), JJ Olatunji (KSI), Ethan Payne (Behzinga), Vikram Barn (Vikkstar123), and Harry Lewis (W2S). The group produces a variety of content, including challenges, sketches, and video-game commentary. They have also ventured into merchandise, launching Sidemen Clothing, and have participated in charity football matches, raising significant funds for various causes. 

🎵 Music Endeavors

In February 2020, Tobi released his debut single "Destined for Greatness," featuring his brother Manny and sister Janellé. The track achieved commercial success, peaking at number 31 on the UK Singles Chart and number 33 on the Irish Singles Chart. 

👕 Entrepreneurial Ventures

Beyond content creation, Tobi has explored entrepreneurship. In 2019, he launched ILLVZN, a streetwear clothing brand reflecting his interest in fashion. He is also a co-owner of several businesses, including XIX Vodka, the restaurant chain Sides, and the cereal brand Best Breakfasts. 

⚽ Football and Personal Interests

A passionate football fan, Tobi supports Manchester United F.C. and plays Sunday league football for Under The Radar FC, a team formed by his brother Manny. He has participated in various football-related events and charity matches, showcasing his skills on the pitch.
